StudyRig Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026 · Applies to: EPA 608 Prep and all StudyRig mobile apps, and the website studyrig.app.

Who we are

StudyRig is the publishing name of Rasim Sönmez, Istanbul, Türkiye. He is the data controller: he decides how the personal data described here is used. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean StudyRig.

Contact: support@studyrig.app. Written requests can also be sent to the postal address shown under "About the developer" on our Google Play page.

People in Türkiye: our notice under Turkish data protection law (KVKK) is at studyrig.app/kvkk (in Turkish).

The short version

StudyRig apps collect no personal data. Everything you do in the app, your answers, progress, streaks and exam results, is stored only on your device. We have no servers of our own, no accounts and no analytics in the apps. Personal data reaches us only in three ways you choose: when you e-mail us, when you buy a plan (the store shows us an order record) and when you post a public review. Separately, Cloudflare, which hosts this website, processes technical data such as visitors' IP addresses for us (see This website).

What the app collects

Nothing. The app sends us no personal information, usage data or identifiers. The only data that leaves your phone goes to Google, through Google Play's own libraries in the app (see Google Play features). Every question, lesson and rule text in the app is stored on your phone.

Purchases

Full access is sold as an optional weekly or monthly plan, an auto-renewing subscription. Payments are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. Apple's and Google's own privacy policies govern payment processing:

Whether a plan is active is kept with your Apple or Google account, so a plan can be restored on a new device. From version 2.0, the app checks with the store from time to time and keeps the last answer on your device.

Google Play features

EPA 608 Prep uses Google Play's own libraries for buying a plan, the optional rating prompt and checking for a newer version of the app, which happens by itself when you open the app. From version 2.0, the app also confirms with Google Play from time to time that a plan is still active. Through these libraries Google receives what the features need: your purchase, a rating or review only if you choose to write one, technical logs from the purchase library (for example, whether a request succeeded), and your device details, the app version and its installed modules for the update check. Google handles this under its own privacy policy. Like every developer on Google Play, StudyRig can see its order records and the public reviews on its store page. StudyRig never sees your payment details, the purchase library's logs or anything from the update check.

Your progress data

Study progress lives in local storage on your device. Deleting the app deletes this data permanently: we cannot recover it, because we never had it. No backup leaves your device unless your own operating system backup (iCloud/Google backup) includes app data, which is controlled by your device settings, not by us.

When you e-mail us

What: your e-mail address, your name if you give it, your message and any attachments.

Why: to answer you, follow up and keep a record of support questions.

Legal basis: dealing with your request and any plan you bought (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)), and our legitimate interest in running support (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)).

Where: mail to support@studyrig.app is forwarded by Cloudflare's e-mail routing service to our mailbox at Microsoft (Outlook.com).

How long: see How long we keep it.

Please do not send payment details or anything you would not want stored; we never need them.

Orders and reviews

When you buy a plan, Google Play (or the App Store) shows us an order record: the order number, the plan, the date, the amount paid and the tax, and your country. For buyers in some countries it also shows the state or region and the postal code, which the store uses for tax. We never see your payment details. We use the order record to answer questions about your plan, handle refund requests the store passes to us and keep the records tax law requires. Legal basis: the contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)) and legal obligations (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c); KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç)).

Reviews you post on a store page are public under the name you chose. We read them and may reply publicly (legitimate interest).

This website

studyrig.app is hosted by Cloudflare. To deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type. We run no analytics, show no ads, have no forms and load nothing from other websites. We set no cookies.

Do Not Track: we do not track visitors over time or across websites, and we let no third party do so on this site, so the site works the same whatever your browser's Do Not Track setting.

Who receives data, and where

These companies process data in several countries, including the United States. We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

How we keep data safe

Access to the support mailbox, the website account and the store consoles is limited to the people who run StudyRig and is protected with strong passwords and two-step verification. We keep no copies of support e-mails in other systems. The app keeps your study data in the app's private storage on your device.

How long we keep it

We check stored mail every three months and delete what has passed its period.

Your rights

You can ask us whether we hold personal data about you, get a copy, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, and ask to whom it was passed. Write to support@studyrig.app from the e-mail address you used with us, or in writing to the postal address shown on our Google Play page. We answer free of charge within 30 days.

People in Türkiye have the rights in Article 11 of KVKK and, after applying to us, may complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board (see studyrig.app/kvkk). People in the European Economic Area or the UK may also complain to their data protection authority.

Children

StudyRig apps are professional exam-preparation tools intended for adults preparing for occupational certifications. They are not directed at children under 13, and the apps collect no personal data from anyone, children included. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal data by e-mail, write to us and we will delete it.

Third parties

No advertising SDKs, no analytics SDKs, no tracking, no data brokers. The only outside code in the app that works with a server is Google Play's own libraries described above.

Changes to this policy

If a future feature ever changes any of the above (for example, optional cloud backup), we will update this policy before that feature ships and note the change here with a new effective date.

September 30, 2026: added the section Google Play features.

October 2, 2026: full access is now sold as a weekly or monthly plan.

October 16, 2026: added who we are, what reaches us when you e-mail us, buy a plan or post a review, this website, where data goes, how we keep it safe, how long we keep it, and your rights. From version 2.0, the app also confirms with Google Play from time to time that a plan is still active.
